This is the most basic element to a well-designed estate plan.

A will is a legal document that sets out how your property is to be divided upon your death. Within the will itself, there is an executor who is appointed to physically execute your will according to your wishes. The executor’s responsibilities include:

  • Collecting all your assets;
  • Paying all of your debts;
  • Distribute your estate according to your will.

Remember the golden rule that “if you pay peanuts you get monkeys”

This is especially true when it comes to obtaining good estate planning advice. Everyone has at least seen in the news a high profile case about disputes in wills and distribution of assets. If you do not want to be in this situation, seek out specialist advice which you can trust. SWU Group Estate Planning works with you in designing your will, to provide you with the peace of mind you need for you and your family in the event of your passing.
